"Providing job training to people with barriers to employment since 1954"

Donated Goods:

Donated goods are critical in allowing us to continue to provide quality services and resources to those experiencing barriers to employment issues. One of our retail goals at Goodwill Industries of Kanawha Valley is to provide the community with a great variety of reasonably priced merchandise. The majority of our merchandise comes from donated goods and limited new goods; however, each piece is subjected to several quality sorts to evaluate the condition of the item before it reaches our stores. This method allows us to provide the customer with the very best quality merchandise at a low price. 89 cents of every dollar from the sale of used goods support the services of our Employment, Education and Training Department. These services provide instruction to individuals with disabilities and those who are disadvantaged, allowing for the realization of employment potential and an overall better quality of life.

Many items are accepted at our stores; however, due to safety, environment and health issues we cannot accept all items. Please see the following list.
