MISSION
STATEMENT- To assist persons with disabilities or those who
are otherwise vocationally disadvantaged to achieve full participation and
integration into society.
STATISTICS-
In 2006, 176 people with disabilities accessed Goodwill Services and 44
Temporary Clients worked in state-use contracts. The Contract
Department maintained nearly 200 employment opportunities for people with
disabilities. Daily, janitorial contracts are responsible to clean and
maintain nearly 2 million square feet!

Retail Stores Operated-
Charleston, Beckley, Elkview, Kanawha City, Madison, Ripley, Summersville,
Teays Valley and Vienna. Goodwill Industries of Kanawha Valley, Inc. adding
$2,809,444.30 toward the mission of Goodwill!
REVENUE SOURCES- Retail Sales $3.15 million.
Industrial and Service Contract Work $3.69 million. Total 2007 Revenue $7.5
million. Total 2007 Expenses $7.2 million.
REHABILITATION SERVICES OFFERED- Work
Adjustment Training, Occupational Skills Training, Competitive Job Placement,
Supported Employment, Extended (Sheltered) Employment, Community Based
Vocational Services- Exploration, Assessment, Training and employee network
for Ticket to Work voucher holders.
JOB PLACEMENTS- W.Va. Rehabilitation Center,
Elder Beerman, So. Charleston Library, K-Mart,
Kroger, Captain D's, Wendy's, JSI Pre-sort.
FACILITIES SERVICES- (For Offices and
Industrial Sites) Tile floor stripping and waxing, Carpet shampooing, Office
Cleaning, Industrial Complex Cleaning, One-time Special Cleanings.
