Fact Sheet 2006:
MISSION
STATEMENT- To assist persons with disabilities or those who
are otherwise vocationally disadvantaged to achieve full participation and
integration into society.
STATISTICS-
In 2006, 27 clients were trained through work adjustment programs and 73
Temporary Clients worked in state-use contracts. The Contract
Department maintained an average of 187 employment opportunities and enlarged
14 janitorial contracts creating employment for 3 additional people.
Daily, janitorial contracts are responsible to clean and maintain nearly 2
million square feet and approximately 34 acres of state property!
More than 311,000 customers purchased items from our retail stores,
generating just over $3 million in sales.
Eight retail stores operated- Charleston, Beckley,
Elkview, Kanawha City, Madison, Summersville, Teays Valley and Vienna.
Goodwill Industries of Kanawha Valley, Inc. participation in the Cavalcade of
Trade produced a Best in Show award.
REVENUE
SOURCES- Retail Sales $3.4 million. Industrial and Service
Contract Work $3.75 million. Total 2006 Revenue $7.7 million. Total
2006 Expenses $7 million.

REHABILITATION SERVICES OFFERED- Work Adjustment Training, Occupational Skills
Training, Competitive Job Placement, Supported Employment, Extended
(Sheltered) Employment, Community Based Vocational Services- Exploration,
Assessment, Training and employee network for Ticket to Work voucher holders.
